Neil Hedman - Owner / General Manager
Neil Hedman founded Olympic Landscape & Irrigation Co. in 1977 after serving as a field supervisor in a wholesale nursery and managing a landscape construction company for several years. His objective in starting the business was to provide high quality landscape design and construction services to homeowners and businesses in the South Puget Sound area. He has worked very hard over these years to build a company that truly cares for its customers and provides a wholesome and enjoyable work experience for it's employees. Neil oversees the daily management of the company's operations, and also designs sprinkler systems and performs backflow assembly testing. He is a Washington State Certified Backflow Tester and a Sprinkler System Designer.
Neil loves bringing people and material together to create exciting projects, and working with highly skilled professionals in the landscape and irrigation fields.

John Sullivan - Lead Designer
John has been involved in the landscape industry since 1971. He started with Olympic Landscape & Irrigation in 1977, during which time he has been the lead designer for the company.
In addition to landscape design, John's duties include landscape project sales and ongoing customer relations. John is known as a very talented and creative landscape design professional, with many years of experience in the industry. He is a Washington State Certified Nursery Professional, and past Master Gardener.
John truly enjoys people and especially the interaction of working with his clients. He really likes the challenge of creating great landscape designs then seeing the projects come together successfully.

Lynn Francis - Service Deaprtment Manager
Lynn’s job responsibilities at Olympic include scheduling of sprinkler, pond and outdoor lighting service, training and managing service and installation crews, providing technical support, and handling customer relations.
He joined Olympic in 2005 and has been involved in the landscape industry since 1990. Lynn has successfully completed many high quality custom residential and commercial landscape and irrigation projects. He has also developed expertise in equipment operation, landscape and sprinkler installation, service work, lighting, and crew development. Lynn values his working relationships and enjoys the challenges of new projects and helping customers fulfill their landscape dreams.

Nancy Morris - Design Department Manager
Nancy is an experienced industry professional and has been with Olympic Landscape & Irrigation Co. for over 13 years.
As the Design Department Manager, she has responsibility for overseeing all design projects and personnel. Nancy is an experienced professional in landscape and lighting design. She has a B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture, and is a Washington Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH).
Nancy enjoys working among the group of talented people at Olympic, where great ideas become reality every day.

Jodi Maenhout - Landscape Designer
Jodi has re-joined Olympic in 2009 as a landscape designer with over 20 years experience in residential landscaping. She has a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington, and has won several awards and special recognition for her creative landscape designs.
She also has many years of experience working with plant materials and special knowledge of ornamental plants for the Pacific Northwest.
Jodi loves helping enthusiastic customers with their unique projects, and the people at Olympic are all extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to work with.

Stewart Whitham
Landscape Sales & Project Coordinator
Stewart's major duties at Olympic are to meet with prospective customers, prepare and present estimates for landscape design and construction work, and to guide customers through Olympic's process. This involves working closely with other team members and interacting with customers in overseeing their projects through to completion.
Stewart studied Natural Resource Management and Recreational Landscape Design at Virginia Commonwealth University, and has been a designer and contractor in the landscape industry for many years.
Stewart says, "It's exciting to see a client's joy as their design comes to life."

Sandy Hensman - Accountant
Sandy’s responsibilities at Olympic include all company accounting functions. She joined Olympic in 2010 with 13 years of experience in accounting and customer service in the construction industry. Sandy has specific skills in accounts receivable, customer relations, and attention to detail. Her duties at Olympic include all of the bookkeeping, AP, AR, payroll and job costing. She enjoys the staff and atmosphere in the office and says about working at Olympic, “everybody is friendly and makes you feel a part of a family, working together for a common goal.”

Darren Gideon
Construction Crew Supervisor & Project Manager
Darren’s job responsibilities at Olympic include the management and direction of construction work crews, and promoting exceptional customer relations through his professionalism and friendliness. He brings his commitment and enthusiasm to these duties with the attention to detail that Olympic is well known for. In addition to his AA degree in Landscape and Irrigation design, Darren brings to the Olympic team over 8 years of landscape experience. He has developed specific expertise in crew development for landscape and sprinkler installations. Darren has successfully completed many high quality residential and commercial landscape projects.
Darren says, “It is a pleasure working at Olympic. I enjoy being outdoors with my crews, helping to make each customer’s home more beautiful by installing superior custom landscape designs.”

Tyson Francis
Crew Leader and Shop & Grounds Manager
Tyson’s responsibilities at Olympic include the supervision of construction crews and onsite management of landscape projects. He schedules and organizes crew personnel, sees to equipment needs, coordinates with subcontractors, and monitors job progress. He is also responsible for the organization and maintenance of the shop, grounds and equipment at the Olympic home office facility. Tyson has a Turfgrass management degree from Walla Walla Community College and was Assistant Superintendent at Tacoma Country & Golf Club for 5 years.
He says the attention to detail at Olympic reminds him a lot of a high end Country Club.

Maureen Walsh
Administrative Assistant for Sales & Construction
Maureen joined Olympic in 2004 and her major duties include assisting both the Construction and Sales Department Managers with record keeping, project implementation, and customer communication. She also handles the purchasing of plants and lighting materials. Maureen is a graduate of the University of Washington and comes to Olympic with over 20 years of experience in Customer Service and Management.
Her variety of experience, positive outlook and customer values have made her a key part of the Olympic staff.
Maureen has extraordinary organizational skills and says she enjoys assisting the Construction and Sales Managers to help customers achieve the landscaped home of their dreams by keeping track of the fine details of each project.

Erica Hilderbrant
Service Dept. Assistant & Backflow Testing Acct. Manager
Erica has been with Olympic since 2005. Her responsibilities include many areas of assistance in the Service Department: customer communications, scheduling and routing of backflow assembly tests, reporting test results, and assisting the Service Manager with scheduling and routing of service calls.
Erica has 15 years of customer service, management, and billing experience. She excels at organization, has an eye for detail, and enjoys helping people and playing a key role in the coordination of front office systems.

Tyesha Green
Receptionist / Administrative Assistant
Tyesha joined the Olympic staff in 2010 to assist with multiple administrative functions. She takes care of the front office as well as performing the reception duties of answering the phones and receiving visitors. In addition, she assists the Service Department managers with paper flow and keeping track of customer service details.
Tyesha has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and has earned several awards for excellent customer service during her career. She finds the work environment at Olympic to be very pleasant; the staff is positive and friendly. She is enjoying the development of great relationships with customers and co-workers.

Kathy Iverson
Human Resources Consultant
Kathy joined Olympic in 2009 as our Human Resources Consultant. She has over 13 years experience in human resources in various industries including construction and corporate.
Kathy loves people, problem solving, and details. She assists the company with recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compliance, training, and other vital employee functions.
Kathy appreciates the family atmosphere and camaraderie at Olympic and she is very glad to be a part of the team.

Dan Johnson
Business Advisor and Marketing Coordinator
Dan has been assisting the owner and staff at Olympic since 1998 as a business systems coach and marketing coordinator. His assignments have included interacting with management and staff in the development of business systems, and assisting with strategic planning and coordination of marketing activities.
Dan has worked with business owners in a wide variety of industries for over 20 years, helping them with the development of systems which help them grow their business, service their customers well, maximize profitability, and create a great working environment for their employees.
